See one of the most diverse collections of plants in the Southeast right in the heart of Raleigh at JC Raulston Arboretum. This nationally acclaimed garden is named after JC Raulston who arrived to teach at North Carolina State University in 1975. His idea to create an arboretum began when the first plant was rooted in 1976.
